Secretary Hu Inspect Road Embankment Renovation Project

On December 21, Hu Shizhong, Secretary of the Municipal Committee, went deep into the construction frontline to inspect the progress of Road Embankment Renovation Project Lot 2  in the downtown area of He River. He stressed that we should thoroughly implement the people-centered development thinking, continue to carry forward the spirit of tackling difficulties,  strive to build a high-quality projects that stand the test of history and practice with high standards, high quality and high efficiency.

Long Bozhou, chairman of the CPPCC, participated in the inspection.

Secretary Hu has successively inspected Zoujia Drainage Pumping Station Project, pile project and house expropriation for relocated section of Shengangshan Bridge (Wujia) Flood Control Dike. He carefully examined the plan renderings, carefully listened to briefs from relevant responsible staff, and inquired in detail about the project construction and promotion.

Secretary Hu fully affirmed the preliminary work of the project. He pointed out that Road Embankment Renovation Project of He River is a major livelihood project to which both Municipal Party committees and municipal governments has attached great importance, and the community highly concerned. The project has great significance for improving the flood control capacity of downtown area, alleviating the traffic pressure in the southern part of the city, and improving the urban ecological environment. Since its commencement, the project has been carried out in an orderly manner through  meticulous and scientific organization. In particular the construction team has worked hand-in-hand with  the municipal units and Luling New District under sound support of the masses, laying a solid foundation for the next step.

Secretary Hu pointed out a sound supporting and engineering guarantee work should be followed up with persistent efforts on the basis of a good start, the quality of the project should stick to QA/QC procedures with quality and safety in the first place, so that the project can withstand the test of history and practice. We should abide by relevant laws and environmental protection requirements through rational coordination to ensure the goals and tasks are fulfilled on time and in good quality, thus the people's timelessly yearning for a better life shall be met.
